You cannot have a bag, a chair to sit on etc. There is a list of what you can and can’t do. I heard if you move from where you are standing you cannot return so I wonder about bathroom time. What do the revelers do? I never had the desire to be in that crowd. I wish them all a safe and joyous time.

Global unrest is happening and the media only reports on a few countries. These are some of the countries where mass protests are taking place. Algeria, Albania, Azadi, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Gaza, Georgia, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Montenegro, Moscow, Nicaragua, Papua, Philippines, Spain, Sudan, and the list goes on. This world is chaotic because of the dollar devils.

When you believe, you are trusting and hoping that your belief is true. The alternative is there is nothing watching over you, therefore if you did not do the right thing, you wasted your life.

Yesterday was Christmas Day and it felt like an ordinary day. I did not feel that extra joy I usually feel at Christmas. Opening gifts, having meals, talking and laughing for a moment, but then suddenly something was amiss. It must be the conversation about the childish men running this world. Thoughts of them killed the spirit of Christmas. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

When you are pregnant people get overly friendly with you. They want to chat with you; asking lots of questions about your pregnancy and your life. They love to touch your belly and offer to help you. It is annoying. When I was pregnant, I was very unapproachable because I did not trust anybody I did not know. I used to blame my bad attitude on my hormones. If you are pregnant be aware of the people who suddenly want to be your friend. Many women are being killed and their baby gets stolen.

I don’t shop at Amazon because more than 10 years ago I bought something and it looked used. I returned it and I did get back my money, but it took a lot of arguing and complaining. This morning I saw on the news that some sellers on Amazon are selling garbage. I am not surprise. Have a nice day. Enjoy and be safe.

Innocent until proven guilty. A 13-year-old boy is charged with the murder of Barnard College student, Tessa Rane Majors. Although he was not the person who stabbed her, they charged him with murder. I do not know the law but right or wrong this is a heartbreaking situation. I pray that truth prevails. I know God and I know that he is in charge.

Dear God, the devil is at hand. The phones in my home and the other electronics are going nuts. An Amber Alert has been issued for Karol Sanchez who was kidnapped by two men last night. Karol Sanchez was walking with her mother in the Melrose section of the Bronx. Two men knocked her mother to the ground then grabbing her and put her in a car with two other men. This is so scary. Sarah just called me because she said all phones and electronic devices in her class went off with the alert, but she thought it was about the weather. She is doing finals so this morning when she was heading out all I told her was to pay attention to her surroundings. I pray that they find this child safe and sound.

Today I look at life and I am flabbergasted. There are some people who do outrageous things and they get away with it. But I know God and he is in charge. The old Trinbago folks used to say, “The vengeance of moko go fall on dem.” I don’t know who moko is, but I know God and he said, “Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.” Deuteronomy 32:35.

One day you are walking in an area to get to another place. You are drinking a bottle of water, soda, or might be eating something. Whatever you were drinking and or eating you throw the bottle and the wrapper on the street. Someone gets killed in the area you litter. Now you are a person of interest. “Stop littering!”

On Wednesday evening eighteen-year-old Tessa Rane Majors, a student at Barnard College was stabbed to death. She was walking through Morningside Park at 116th Street and Morningside Drive when she was attacked. A couple of people are being questioned. This is a sad situation and I hope they find the right person/s who did it. It is troubling because the people who are being questioned are minors and this brings to mind the Central Park jogger situation. Dear God I pray that truth prevails.

If you have a black male working in America, remember that he is under pressure on the job. Everyday he is faced with someone who wants to make him feel less than a man. So, when he comes home do not belittle him. Do not add to his hurt. Have a nice day.

I saw the most heart-breaking video on the news about a 16-year-old child who is in custody at the United States Border. This young boy had a fever of 103 degrees but did not see a doctor. The Boarder officials put him in a sell with a concrete bed and a foil blanket. He stood up to walk but fell to the floor. Moments later he got up and walked to the bathroom where he fell again but this time he did not get up. Another boy who is also ill got up from under his foil blanket and walked over to the bathroom where he found his comrade. My tears flow as I write this. I have children. I love children. Rest in peace precious soul. Ps. 63:11. But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. Amen.

He killed Trayvon Martin and was acquitted of murder so you think he would shut his mouth and go away, but George Zimmerman is not doing that. He is suing Trayvon Martin’s parents for 100 million dollars. Imagine a man murdered your child and then he wants to be paid for it. He is like a thorn in the Martin’s hip.

When I give something or do something for someone, I don’t do it for payment unless we are doing business. I do not like reproachful people. You only have to reproach me once and that is the end of me asking you for anything or accepting anything from you. I do forgive reproachful people but I do not forget their reproachful ways. On Monday, November 25, 2019 a female student at Kingsborough College, Brooklyn, NY was about to use the bathroom when she felt someone behind her. A man pushed her into one of the stalls and tried to sexually assault her. She manages to get away. Kingsborough College did not inform their students about this incident. I am re-posting Sarah’s Kingsborough College bathroom story. When Sarah was leaving school on September 21, 2018, she phoned me saying, “Mom I am shaking.” I asked her what happened and she said that when her class was over, she went to use the bathroom. There were three young women in there. They left quickly and someone turned off the light. The bathroom got pitched black. She exclaimed and put on the flashlight on her phone. Wondering if anyone was still there. She got herself together and slowly walked out, shining the light around. Thank God for her cell phone. College life is not easy some people are going to hate you and you have to be ready for their attacks.

It’s turkey week so my turkey, is soaking in water with 2 cups of lime juice, 1 cup of vinegar and I cup of salt for 4 hours. After soaking I am going to clean it then season it with blended, ginger, garlic, onion scallions, cilantro and salt, put it into the baking dish, leave in the refrigerator to marinate. Wednesday night I am going to stuff the turkey then put into the oven to bake.

One thing that amazes me is hearing lies flow from an adult’s mouth. Today lying seems to be the acceptable thing. Many men in prominent positions tell lies and the women who are in their midst show how much they agree with a liar. Judgement day is coming. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19.

 

Free; Without cost or payment, but many officials don’t know the meaning of; ‘FREE’! They say that college is free in New York. The funds are sent by NY State to the college to pay for your class course, but no funds to buy books etc. After the course is paid, the balance remaining goes to the student. In most cases the funds are not enough to pay for the class course and the student ends up with a bill. So have money to help pay for your college course and to buy your books.

The easiest word to say yet the heaviest word is, ‘Sorry’ because the meaning is profound, but in most cases, it is not said with sincerity. It is mostly said for gain. They say sorry because they want something. Mayor Bloomberg said that he is sorry to Blacks and Latino because of his legacy of, ‘Stop-and-Fisk’. Thousand of Black men and Latino men were stopped by the police for no reason. 99.9% of the time no illegal items were found on them or any of them were perpetrators of a crime. The first time Paul was stopped and frisked, he was on his way to school. He was 15 years and then on two other occasions, 16 and 18. I believe Stop-and-Frisk is meant to belittle Black and Latino men. Like I said before; most people say they are sorry because they want something.

Seamless is shameless. Yesterday Paul decided that he was going to order food from Boston Market. Although there was food in the fridge, we all decided to have something different. He placed his order through Seamless and 45 minutes later we got a phone call from a number in Chicago, Illinois. The moment I answered, the person hung up. A few minutes later when I checked the order status on the computer it said, ‘Delivered’. I called Boston Market who contacted Seamless and they said that the delivery guy rang my door bell, he also called but we did not answer so he left. This guy was dishonest, but I hope the food went to someone who needed it. Seamless said that they will give Paul 50% off his next order. They must be crazy. Last night was the first and last time we will use Seamless delivery.

Some people are provocative. Just freaking confrontational. Sometimes the only thing that stops them is a, ‘fuck that blow’. That is the blow that the victim attacks the bully with. After being bullied over and over again the victim decides to defend him/herself and they strike with all their might. It’s like they say to them self, “I know you can beat me, but Fuck that, I am going to defend myself. A fuck that blow can be deadly. Parents talk to your children about bullying. Stop them before you lose them. It’s about time the bullying stop!

Paul and Sarah call me ‘Old fashion’. I am not upset about that because I know that there are some things I do not agree with and I am not going to do. As the old Trinbago folks used to say, “Yuh better kno’ yuh place.” They meant that you should have respect and I am respectful. Paul and Sarah think at times I go overboard. They are young and some of the things that they find are funny or not a big thing I find them just wrong so they insist I need to lighten up. But at 59, I am set in my ways and blessed.

Asthma is one of the worst illnesses anyone can have. It is scary to see how difficult it is for someone to breath while they are having an asthma attack. The sad part is that an asthma attack can kill. Paul and Sarah both had asthma. I wanted to know what was the cause so I paid attention to what they ate and I cut out the foods that triggered it. I made sure they did not walk bare footed, when they showered, they dressed in the bathroom. During the winter when they go outside, their scarf covered their nose and, in the summer, when the humidity was high, going out was limited. Parents, caregivers etc, need to pay attention to their loved one to see what causes the attack. May the LORD bless you more and more, both you and your children. Yesterday I took a day off from the internet even the news. I was tired of hearing and reading about the massacre of the family who were on their way to a wedding in Mexico, about the number of planes that crashed into buildings this week, the fire that is burning down California, the man who acts as though he is a God etc. I had enough!

I got a phone call from a man. He said he would like me to do a survey and he would pay me $10 for answering 6 questions. I started to laugh at his thinking that I would be excited to get $10. He continued speaking, but I hung up the phone. To send me that $10 dollars he would want my personal information.

The gruesome murder of Mary Turner and her baby. (May,1918 lynching) Hampton Smith a plantation owner, from Brooks County Georgia used to abuse and beat his workers. Mary Turner was once severely beaten by Smith and when her husband threatened him, local authorities sentenced Hazel Turner to time on a chain gang. Smith was shot and killed by one of his workers. A mob driven manhunt for the killer resulted in the lynching of 13 black people, including some who were in the local jail. Nineteen-year-old and eight months pregnant, Mary Turner publicly denied that her husband had anything to do with the murder of Hampton Smith. The mob was angry by her remarks so they decided to teach her a lesson. She fled, but was caught and dragged to Folsom Bridge. The mob tied her ankles, strung her upside down, doused her clothes in gasoline and set her on fire. While she was still alive, someone split open her stomach and her unborn baby slid out and fell to the ground. The mob stomped and crushed the baby to death. They then shot Mary Turner. Her bullets riddled body, along with her baby were buried a few feet away from where they were murdered.

One day we were going out. When we got outside there was a man leaning on a pole that was holding up a sign. This man was wobbling down but he would slowly stand upright before he hit the ground. I said, “Something is wrong with that man. “That is how someone who is on heroin behaves,” Paul said. “Dear God that must be a horrible feeling because he doesn’t seem to have control of his faculties.” I said. “I heard that the only good high from heroin is the first shot so people keep taking it to get that trip,” Harold said. Although I did not know the man, just seeing him in grave difficulty had me worried about him. Drug addiction is a sad, sad affair. I pray for all the people who are trapped by drugs.

I do not understand them. They hate us yet they tan, they even go under the knife to get our body shape to look like us. It would be nice if they do what they want to do to themselves and leave us to live our life, but jealousy is ah hell of ah thing. One thing I know is my place. I did not know my father’s father side of the family and I am not attempting to find out who they are. I take the movie, Get Out seriously so I stay in my lane. The only witness who could discredit the policewoman’s story about the night she fatally shot Botham Jean, in his apartment, was found shot to death. I remember getting off on the wrong floor to my apartment. From the moment I headed in the direction where my apartment should be, I knew something was wrong so I stood up. A simple thing as the color of some of the apartment doors and the little knickknacks on them, made me realize I was on the wrong floor. That woman knew what she wanted to do, kill a black man. I honestly thought she was going to get away with murder. Thanks be to God the truth stands. Justice for the black man.

Children are the future. They are the saviors of humanity. Yesterday millions of young people marched in the Global Youth Climate Strike. More than 120 countries youths participated in the march. I pray they get strength and courage to keep going. We need them.

From childhood to adult I met many female nurses and yes, they did their job articulately but there was a bit of haughtiness in their attitude. A nurse is supposed to be kind, thoughtful, gentle, helpful and considerate. The female nurses I met hardly portrayed that role well. I must say all those attributes flow easily from male nurses. Ladies it is time to let haughtiness go. Now I do not mean to offend but this is my opinion.

Today is added to our history, thanks be to God. We don’t know what tomorrow would bring but I am grateful for seeing another day. Amen.

Trinbagonians I have to talk about this. Years ago, when you buy pholourie you used to get at least 10 to 12 in a bag with mango chutney. Today when you buy pholourie you get no more than 6 and the seller would ask you what kind of sauce you want. Sauce! It is time to grate some green mango and make some chutney. Stop pouring sauce on the pholourie making it soggy.

I have been to the Bahamas and it was a beautiful island. It is so sad to see the massive destruction.

I remember years ago once a month I used to balance my bank account, but today every day I have to check on it. Every time we take an Uber it registers on the account that the person traveled in New York or New Jersey. Few and far and in between we would be in a further State. Yesterday I saw a charge on my account for an Uber in California. From the moment I saw it I knew that my bank card was cloned. One thing I must say my bank solved the problem and my money was refunded. But I often wonder how does a thief feels after he or she pilfer? Doesn’t their conscience bother them? And life goes on. I do not know what medication this young lady was on, but I remember some time ago Paul, Sarah and I were talking about depression and a medication for it. We were stunned by an advertisement for this medication. In the commercial it was stated how good it was for depression but then if it caused you to have suicidal feelings call your doctor. Imagine you already feel depress and the medication could make you want to kill yourself. Man is killing man.

Dear God, the devil is at hand. Another shooting in the United States. Hours after El Paso, Texas; A shooter killed 10 and injured 26 people at Ned Peppers Bar in Dayton, Ohio. Brown people we have targets on our backs.

There was a shooting at a Walmart El Paso, Texas. 19 people are dead and about 40 injured. Many people from Mexico cross the border to shop at that Walmart. The man who did the shooting is said to be a white supremacist. Brown people we must be on our Ps and Qs.

Thanks be to God I am seeing my 59th birthday. Last year when I became ill, I felt that I was seeing my last days on earth, but God saved me. I am thankful for life.

Life is scary these days. They really hate us. Harold went to do an electrical job in the backyard of a building. While he was working a woman opened her back window and looked at him and said, “What are you doing trespassing on my property.”

Although she was on the 3^rd floor, he took out his ID, said his name and told her he was an electrician, sent to do a job.

Woman: “I did not authorize anybody to do work in my back yard. My backyard is part of my home, so you are trespassing in my home. I am going to call the police.”

Harold: “Miss you can do what you want.”

He dialed the building manager and when he answered, Harold told him what was going on, so he told him to let him speak to the lady. Harold puts the phone on speakerphone.

The building manager told the woman that she is a tenant and not the owner, have nothing to say to Mr. Joseph.

The woman bent her head, closed her window and that was the end of that.

I remember looking at the news days after the World Trade Center disaster, and seeing how The First Responders were digging in the rubble for survivors. The area looked dusty and smoky. I was thinking to myself that the air must be toxic because added to the dust and smoke were decaying bodies. None of The First Responders were wearing face mask to protect them from the toxic air. Most of the First Responders got gravely ill. Some of them died. September 11, 2001 was the tragic day; 18 years ago, and many unfounded excuses are being made to avoid paying 9/11 First Responders. The owner of the World Trade Center got his money in a flash to re-build and the World Trade Center stands. It is sad to say but, First Responders are sick and dying. The dollar devil rule.

Today the woes of this world make me worried and I stay focused on it paying less attention to the happy moments that I experience daily. Yesterday in my moment of meditation I asked myself when was I really happy, ignoring the ills of the world? Last month I was ripped-off. A man named Jack Franc from BlueCrest Press, he is the Senior Author Marketing Consultant. He had a real good selling speech about how he was going to market my book. I had to pay a fee and send him 20 copies of A Near Fatal Twist. I took the chance. I paid the money and sent the 20 books. Today his phone number is dead and he is not answering his email. This is what happens to most of us in this business. You create the work and someone is ready to swipe it and stake a claim.

I heard that the man who set fire to the anime studio in Japan which caused the death of 33 people, complained that the company stole something of his.

I am not saying what this guy did was the right thing but many people love to thief other people creation and make money off of it ignoring the creator of the item.

Last night was a hell of a night. My neighbors were setting off fire crackers. I was sleeping soundly when I heard the first loud explosion.

“What was that?” I asked Harold.

Harold: “Fire crackers.”

Me: “What time is it?”

Harold: “Ten minutes after twelve and they have been at it since mid-night. The one that woke you rocked the place.”

Me: “It really did because all the cars’ alarms are going off.”

The fire cracker situation went on until 3am this morning.

Thanks be to God, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that the United States is running a concentration camps at the border, now the world have a clearer view about the inhumane situations the children in the camps are faced with daily. To all the innocent souls, God receives your plea. Amen.

I heard that the children were moved from the camps at the border and nobody knows where they are. I pray for them. Dear God rivers of tears are pouring out of these children and their parents. They are in the midst of liars and sadistic people. Heartbreaking! I pray that the children are in the hands of a savior.

My heart is heavy and I am writing about why I feel this

me. I remember when I was 9 years old, a 4^th standard or

grade student, one of my sisters told me about getting my periods. I cried because I was about to lose my childhood. One year later at age 10, I was a young lady. It was the most nauseating time of my life. On the first day of menstruation; I used to get very bad abdominal pains, I couldn’t eat or drink anything, I used to puke and I had chills, but I had the comfort of a bedroom. Imagine 9 years plus young ladies in the camps at the border, having the same nauseating pains during their menstruation. They probably have a cot to sleep on or they sleep on ground. There is no privacy. Humanity is dead.

This earth is generated by Selfishness, Wickedness and Deceitfulness! And I pray.

Dear God, Thank you for grace and peace. Thank you for mercy.

Ps. 52. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually. The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. The devil is at hand. Sunday is a day that most people use as their day of meditation. A day of quietness, reflection and to spend a closer time with God, but the devil has chosen this day to reign; bringing disquiet to many people. Dear God I know that you are in charge. I grew up drinking coffee. I love the smell and the taste. I stopped drinking it because of the way I felt after I drink it. The coffee wasn’t making me feel sick, but the milk and sugar was. My father always drank a cup of black coffee in the morning and in the evening. Paul told me that he heard if you put salt in coffee it takes away the bitterness and it taste good. I told him that must be true because when we got the cold, my mother used to put golden ray butter (as Trinbagonians call it; salt butter.) in black coffee. I liked how it tasted. This mixture used to knock out the cold. Anyway, I saw a new study about coffee. It takes away pain etc., It was hard to drink black coffee but I am having a cup daily because it really does take away my pain.

I believe law makers make laws to protect themselves and also to intimidate people. Imagine you are 21 years yet you look 15, 16 or even younger, and you are called to do jury duty. You sit in court face to face with a criminal. How uncomfortable is that? People 25 years and older are the ones who should be called to do jury duty.

Some of these allergies happens to me when I eat wheat products. It took me a while to stop eating wheat and also to stop having sugar.

I want to say thanks to my parents for nurturing me into adulthood making sure I enjoyed my childhood. My days as a child were spent outside in the yard or roaming the neighborhood. The adults in the neighborhood did play their part in my development. Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago people were very respectable people. Tableland people were also respectable. My summer holidays were spent in Tableland. My cousin and I, 9 and 10 years of age used to walk two miles from our grandparents’ home to my grandfather’s garden. The road was through the forest. It was dismal but every now and then an adult man or woman would pass us, saying hello as they walked on. We walked as fast as we could. The only thing I used to worry about were our folklore characters. Douen ---(The unbaptized spirit of a child.) and La Diablesse ---(The devil’s bride) coming to attack us. Today it pains me to hear how adults rob children of their innocence. How can anyone feel joy from inflicting pain?

New York is doing something right. When the school year ends, The Department of Education is going to provide free breakfast and lunch to children ages 18 and under. Children will not have to register and they don’t have to show identification. The meals are free and will be available at 1,200 sites across the 5 boroughs of NY. I am so happy to hear this. Gone were the days when children who could not pay 75cents, were turned away from a meal.

This world is in disarray because of the evil wicked degrading things done to teachers. Teachers imparts their knowledge on an ignorant person educating them to become self-sufficient. This person finds a job and makes thousands of dollars more than their educator.

Me: Harold and I talked when we got up and he went to do a job. I just got off the phone with him and we talked about this and that. Oh gosh we both forgot.”

Sister-in-law: I really don’t know what to say about the both of you. Every year is the same thing.

Me: All I can say about that is; We are happy.”

Sister-in-law: And that is important.

Oh gosh that man is ah movaylang (Mauvaise Langue) kind ah man. The worst kind of man to cross your path. My father used to tell me if I come across a bad tongue man, let him go his way. He did not really have to tell me because I don’t like gossipy men.
