When
you are visiting a doctor or you are a patient in the hospital you are at their
mercy. 213 patients at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point , New Jersey may have been exposed to
HIV or Hepatitis B or C. The drugs they were given were tampered with. The
hospital said that the warning is for patients who received intravenous
morphine or hydromorphone medications at the hospital. This was between June 1, 2013 and September 17, 2014 . Frederick P. McLeish a
registered pharmacist at Shore Medical was arrested in January for drug tampering.
It was alleged that between July and September 2014, the pharmacist removed morphine
from vials intended for patients and replaced the drug with saline solution.
