I heard that the Unions did not get the one day strike they asked workers to do for them. Now they are asking workers to do 3 days strike. Next Wednesday, October 3, 2018 is the start day of the strike. Trinbagonians pay attention. Remember that a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush and don’t be like the dog and the bone. Those in charge of the unions are not living hand to mouth. Your dues pay for their lifestyle and it is good. Workers do not forget you have obligations. As them old Trinbago folks used to say, “Yuh know how yuh does butter yuh bread, doh let no body butter it for yuh! Also; Yuh know wha’ side yuh bread butter on.” Have a nice day, enjoy and be safe.

Many people are being abused by their significant other. Some of them stay because of love, money and fear. Women need to start respecting women. I remember hearing a pretty well-dressed woman, talked about how much she liked a man. She said that he was married., his wife looks old and she dresses like she looks. This woman wormed her way into the nice man’s life and he was ready. Weeks later I saw her and she looked haggard. I came to find out that he beats her. The nice man gave her a taste of his medicine. When you see a couple, you do not know what they are going through. Stay out of it. Like him from a distance. Women need to respect women.

Priest, Cosby yes, sexual abusers but two different kinds of sexual abuse. no comparison. Priest rape children and Cosby women. Yes, they are all criminals. Priests are protected by the catholic church and the American law for whites. I haven’t seen any black Catholic priests in America accused, but if there are any they will be sent to prison. Cosby is a black man. A born and raised Black American man and he knows America’s history. He knows how black men are professed by some white Americans so he should have known better. According to my father, ‘He is a damn fool’. Stop comparing the two situations. It is offensive to compare children situation to adult situations. Justice for children should be harsh but it is not. I experienced being intoxicated and touched without my consent. It took me 34 years to talk about it. When I was in Trinbago in 2011, I told my sisters. They wanted to know why I did not tell anybody, not even our father. Hurt, shame and fear caused me to be silent. I did not want them to get in trouble. They were upset that I took so long to tell them.

Christine Blasey Ford, is the first woman to come forward about the sexual assault she received at a party when she was in high school. She alleged that Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee was the culprit. Deborah Ramirez, is the second woman. She said that when they were freshmen at Yale University, she, Kavanaugh and some other students were playing a drinking game, in a dorm room. She recalls being on the floor, slurring her words when a male student exposed himself, then he shoved his penis in her face.  Judge Brett Kavanaugh, said this never happened. I say what in darkness is going to come to light and truth is going to prevail.

Fifty Shades of Grey, not my kind of book. When the book came out I knew that someone in Sarah’s school will have a copy and she might read it. I wanted us to discuss it so I asked her if she wanted me to buy a book for her. She said someone in her class had a copy and she started to read the first chapter, but did not like it. The man is abusive and she is not reading anymore.  I felt happy that she was not going to be a woman being treated like a pawn. Accepting someone dominating her. I watch how excited some women were about it. I don’t know if they loved it because a rich white man was treating his woman like his property.  Sadism. Masochism. Each man to his own pleasure but not my cup of tea.

Some people are trash talking and saying that Christine Blasey Ford, a psychology professor at Palo Alto University in California, is not being truthful about the sexual assault she received at a party when she was in high school. She alleges Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee sexually assaulted her. This woman took a lie detector test and passed. I don’t believe that she wants to spite this man. I believe she wants closure. She wants him to admit to it and apologize. If he had done this, years ago, this story would not come to light. Now she is going to testify in front of a bunch of fuddy-duddy old men. Some men believe that women are entitled to them and some women believe that they are their man’s property. 

Yesterday when Sarah was leaving school, she phoned me saying, mom I am shaking. I asked her what happened and she said that when her class was over she went to use the lady’s room. There were three young women in there. They left quickly and turned off the light. The bathroom got pitched black. She exclaimed and put on the flashlight on her phone. Wondering if anyone was still there. She got herself together and slowly walked out, shining the light around. Thank God for her cell phone. College life is not easy some people are going to hate you and you have to be ready for their attacks.

Elizabeth Thomas a high school student was taken at 15 years by her Tennessee high school teacher. It took a nationwide man hunt 38-days to find that child. This was one of the saddest 20/20 I have seen. One thing she said that resonated with me; “Other people don’t choose your actions, you do it.”

Nishal Sankat, 22, a student at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, a dual citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and Canada, tried to thief an American Airline plane. This little criminal has Trinidad and Tobago in hot water. His parents must have been boasting about him being in college studying to be a commercial pilot. Stop parading your children. You will be surprise at the things they do when you are not around. To me Facebook is becoming creepy. When I joined FB and I wanted to post something on my wall, the button used to say, Post. Now the button says Share. Clicking on share means that you are giving FB permission to use your post as they please. Be very careful what you post on your wall.

Kidnappings etc., has been going on for many years and we sometimes hear about it on the news, but today we have to be thankful for technology. The cell phone is wonderful. It has caused many crimes to come to light. Some of the perpetrators calls it fake news, although the phone recorded their atrocities. Sometimes when I hear them say, fake news it crawls my blood making me cringe because that person is a liar. The videos etc., don’t lie. They tell the story of the evil one.

Someone sent me a video of some Trinbago school girls fighting. One of them looked like she was bleeding. The other girls around were encouraging them to continue fighting. I told Paul and Sarah from the moment they started school, when people start to get into arguments, stay out of it. If a fight starts, walk away and if they feel to tell someone in authority do so. Do not stay around for arguments or fights. Do not be a part of the crowd.

Sarah is 21 and she still walk away from arguments. After her class on Monday two women started to cuss. One of them asked the other why she was staring at her during class and that started the cussing. Sarah said she quickly packed up her books, and as she was walking through the door their professor shouted at the women. His angry tone made her walk faster. She said she did not want to be a witness to bullshit.

Yesterday September 18^th 2018 my father would have been 105. I missed the days when we used to sit on the porch chatting. I remember one sunny morning when we were talking the bright morning sun suddenly got shaded as though a cloud was blocking it. He said Allison look as he pointed towards the street. 100s of little yellow butterflies were fly through the air. I was in awe. That moment lasted for a long while. RIP Daddy. I will always remember these nostalgic moments. 

This story pissed me off the first time I heard it and now after 20 years they put themselves back into the limelight and it elevated my disgust. Woody Allen and his ex-girlfriend Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn. First, I must say she looks as old as his ass. I listen to her trashing her adopted mother, saying how bad of a mother Mia Farrow was, and Allen made her feel valued. Yes, he valued her straight into his bed although he and her mother were still together. Mia found out that Woody and her adopted daughter were in a relationship, when she found nude pictures of Soon-Yi in Woody’s home. Mia Farrow adopted Soon-Yi when she was 6 to give her a better life and her thanks was to take her adopted mother’s man. Girl take a good look in a mirror and ask yourself, if you want to live with a man who is sucking up your youthfulness, to gratify his old ass.

Life is America is not a bed of roses. Haters comes into your space in a flash. We Black people are our worst enemy. I saw a video of an African American woman sitting on a bus, very excited that ICE was on the bus checking for illegals. This situation reminds me of working at a company in Manhattan many years ago. A few weeks after I was hired an African American woman was hired. We had our own worked station doing typing and filing. When we had a break she and I would chat a little. She wanted to know where I was from and I told her Trinidad and Tobago. My Spirit did not take he so I hardly said anything to her. One day she smilingly said, “I made some extra money today.” When I asked her where she said her neighbor was an illegal immigrant, and she reported her. She also said that she did it because she did not like immigrants they take away jobs from American.

I said, “I am an immigrant.”

She said, “Yes I know but I saw your ID.”

“How did you see my ID?”

She said, “One day when you were away from your desk, I looked in your hand bag.”

I said, “I am going to report you for going into my hand bag. You know management talked about stealing?”

“I did not thief anything from you.”

 “I know that but I wonder what management would say about you going into my hand bag?” I wanted to scare her to stop her from being devious, but she left the job.

What I am about to say cannot change the minds and hearts of my brothers and sisters from loving me. Their hearts are already in the place it is, with their feelings about me. Growing up, I never discussed or talked about my life woes with anyone not even my siblings. My father was the only person I talked to and he was my life line, my protector. The reason I am saying this is because it annoys me when people message me posts about how loving a mother is. I don’t know what a mother’s love feels like. Stop sending me love stories about a mother and her child, it brings back memories and it hurts. Not every mother loves her child. I grew up with a mother who did not like me and she showed me how much she did not, but it was not always a bad day with her. There were days when the things she did and said to me, showed me how to be a good person and I am a good person. I have said on many occasions that I know how it feels to be loved and I know how it feels to be hated. I never complained to my mother about how she treated me because I know that she loved me as much as her heart allowed her to love me.

Florence is still battering the Carolinas. Many people are displaced and that is trying times for them. The news said 8 people died. I pray for strength and courage for all the people involved.  

I made a big out Sunday and Monday and I must say we are our worst enemy. Yes, I am supposed to take in sugar but not a lot of it. My dearest cousin Wayne sent me a fruit cake and I ate one slice on Sunday. I felt fine so Monday I had another slice. Tuesday morning, I woke up with stff legs, pain in my lower back, glutes and legs. I know too much sugar does that to me. I took two Aleve but it did not work. I drank one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in water. The pain slowed down a bit. My sister Zoylar and Claudette both told me to mix one teaspoon of baking soda in water and drink it. I did and then the pains went away. I had cheesecake for my birthday but I did not eat as much of it and I was fine. That fruit cake was another story. Sugar is like a drug it tastes really good but the after effects are painful.

The woman was saying, “You is a fucking dog. You call your daughter and tell she to come to NY. She paid she fucking money to come and you leave she and your grandchild in fucking JFK. I had to call somebody to pick she up. You is a fucking dog, you is a stinking Mother Cunt. You know how long I looking for you this morning?  You is a dog. You is a stinking Mother Cunt. If you pick up a woman she have to love you and your children too. It is a package deal.

That woman was so angry she told one of the people with her to video tape it.

There is a dank fog over New York. The area outside is quiet and it looks as though it is waiting for the unexpected. Florence is on her way towards the Carolinas. When she makes landfall, she is going to hit hard. Every time there is a very bad hurricane, Republican are in charge and things don’t ever go smooth. Lord have mercy.

17 years ago, I sat down by my living room window looking at the thick cloud of smokie floating through the sky. It was the scariest time of my life. That night I could not sleep because I was thinking that the people who did the horrible thing would strike again. The sound of the helicopters in the sky had me anxious. All night I sat in a chair afraid to sleep, ready and waiting just in case we were told to leave our home.

I pray that this school year, children get healthy food and not expired food. I hope they stop limiting food. If a child cannot pay the 25 cents give them the food. This might be their only meal. I pray that there are new rules for a bully. Instead of teachers ignoring a parent complaint about their child being bullied, the bully gets reprimanded for his or her tormenting behavior. When Paul and Sarah were in school, I handled the kids who bullied them in my own way and they stopped. Parents listen to your child/children and stop jumping to conclusions. You know your child/children. What they will do and what they wouldn’t do. Pay attention.

Some men are just creepy. Imagine you go to visit a friend. When you get to her home, her brother tells you that she is inside the house. You walked in then he closes the door and locks it. You turn around and he says she is not home. I experienced a moment like that on one occasion but I was able to leave without being touched.

Living with my mother was not a bed of roses but every day was not a bad day. She did teach me a lot of important things to live a good tasteful life. One thing she told me was; “Do not respond to every bad thing you hear someone say about you. If you comment you are giving them the encouragement to continue. It might hurt you but take the hurt and shut up. They will eventually find someone else to talk about.” It was hard to shut up but I did and today I am still doing it. Yes, I might respond to a comment, but if the person keeps adding more statements and I see no end to the foolishness, I don’t respond. I am just too refined to get into a tit-for-tat. I leave that jackass to bray.”

Two fake ass women were fighting their ass off last night at NY Fashion week. Niki Minaj and Cadi B. Niki always have an issue and Cadi B always have a problem so last night issue clashed with problem… Fight start.

I am proud of all Trinbagonians who chose what is best for them and not let anyone tell them to play with their bread and butter, their job. They did not do what the dog with the bone did. They know that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Thanks be to God. Best wishes to you all.

One winter I bought Paul a Nike’s jacket. It was really nice, but he never showed any interest in getting anything else from Nike. Sarah came along and I still did not buy Nike’s items. Today after seeing this commercial we going Nike. First thing I want is a Niki Tee shirts and shorts.

Every thief, his brother and sister have a go fund me page. I see some people have one on their birthday saying that it is for charity. I wonder how much of it goes to charity? If you want to donate to charity why don’t you donate? Why do you need others to help you? If you cannot afford to donate don’t! God is not going to punish you for that. During the Trade Union strike Harold said that some men went back to work so they were called scabs, some were hunted down and beaten. Months later he found out that some men were on the strike line during the day and would go to work at nights. When he realized that they were being used like pawns by the union, he decided to go back to work. One day some men came at the job asking for him. He knew one of them so he told him let’s go outside and talk. After explaining that he was the person they were looking for, and the name he knew him by was his nickname. The man then told the other men, that Harold was his friend and they can’t do him anything so they left. Harold said the strike ended after the strikers were on the breadline for months. The men who stayed on the bread line to the end, never got back their jobs. It might feel good to strike but after weeks, months etc., go by and no resolution you start feeling the repercussion from your Stand. The Union is a necessary evil. They make promises of victory, but it is never victorious for everyone.

All the young people who are talking and criticizing the Government of T&T and are ready to strike, really don’t know what they are in for. There was a bus strike in Trinidad and Tobago in the 60’s and people with cars were able to take their children to school (There were not many people with cars.) but people without cars couldn’t. People used to see Butler in his big fancy car driving his children to school.

Transport and Industrial Workers Trade Union went on strike. All the union gave the workers was a Big tin of Crix and a case of Solo. Today I wonder what they are going to give their workers.

I can go on and on about this BS that the UNION wants to put men and women with families in. A strike starts off good until weeks, months and years go by and no resolution. You have no money to buy food or pay bills and you become homeless then you see how much you are worth to your UNION. Young people read up about workers under Joe Young and George weeks.

Trinidad and Tobago wake up. Workers have the power and they don’t know it. All they do is let a man tell them what to do then that man living large. Paying his bills and living a good life and you on strike. Out on the breadline day in and day out hungry. UNION… Take out the ‘U’ and the ‘I’ and all you have is NON. NON-means, Not doing. Not involved with. And your union leader just like management. Don’t give a damn.

One thing my mother told me to do is to keep a copy of a transaction. My professor said, write down names, dates and the time of important phone calls and conversations. I just had a conversation with a person and they were saying that I did not send them an important email. I said, “You spoke to me on August 16, 2018 today is September 4, 2018 and you are telling me I did not send you the email? Let me check my sent emails.” I logged on to my emails and before it could load she said, “Oh I found it. Everything is ok.” As pissed as I was with this woman because this back and forth has been happening since May, I said, “Have a nice day.” I thank God for a calm spirit.

Some Trinbagonians are sounding really bad. Every day you could hear a story from one of them about the Prime Minister, the Government etc. Some are truthful, some are lying and some are just ignorant. Shameful. I saw a video where two young men, one with a gun and the other with a bag, walked into a church, while service was going on, and they robbed the parishioners. The priests or pastors at the altar stopped praising God and looked on. I am on this earth 58 years and I know what we are hearing and seeing about the church is not new. Many priests, pastors, bishops etc. Stand at the altar, preach or speak what they believe their parishioners want to here, yet they are immoral, wicked and dishonest. Clerics with wondering minds and unclean hearts. I believe when you do right by God, the devil sits in his corner with his trap shut, waiting on someone to be sinful. When you bring vulgarity, immoral sexual behavior and theft into the house of God, the church is no longer sanctified, the devil is in charge. Parishioner be careful who you ask to pray for you, who you make touch you. Not everyone who say, “Our Father,” is praying to Our Father who art in heaven.

Read your bible from the beginning. Read a chapter a day. Have a journal and pencil; to take notes. Do not wait on your priest, pastor, bishop etc., to read it for you.
