It was a lukewarm situation, but it makes you think.

My husband was waiting for Sarah on Flatbush Avenue in front of her school. The bus was taking forever to come. We were all back and forth on the phone. It was after six, dark, snow and ice was falling heavily. The police drove by then they stopped. One of them came up to him and said, “What are you doing here?”
“I am waiting for my daughter.”
“Take your hands out of your pocket.” He took out his hands and kept them at his side. “Were you following a woman in a store?” The Police man asked.
“No.”
“Take off your hood.” He took it off. Although snow and ice was hitting him on his head he ignored it. “No. It is not you. Sorry man.”
“Don’t worry about it. You are just doing your job.”
“Thanks.”
He phoned me after and we thanked God that it wasn’t a bad moment.
