“There is no law that says you have to answer”

Have you ever experienced this? The phone rings, you know the number, you know how you would feel after the conversation, but you feel obligated to answer because the person on the other end is your mother, father, brother, sister, husband, wife or friend. After the conversation feelings of depression, sadness, despair, gloominess, misery, hopelessness, melancholy or dejection covers your heart and soul. Remember God doesn’t want you to feel this way so when the phone rings and you see the number, do not pick up. Breathe and walk away. If you answer, listen and the moment they start with their negativity, put the phone down and do something that pleases your heart. A few minutes later, pick up the phone and if they say to you, “I am speaking and you are not saying anything.” Say to them, “You have a lot to get off of your chest so don’t worry, I’m listening.” Then put down the phone.  Pick it up again in a few minutes and say, “I’m right here.” Eventually when they realize that they are doing all the talking, they would end the conversation. I am sure you would be smiling after that moment. Enjoy your day and be safe…
