Oh, yes, it is Halloween and Paul and Sarah started, “mom and dad never took us trick-or-treating!”

“Paul you don’t like candy and we all hate clowns. Could you imagine I took the both of you trick-or-treating and we came face to face with a clown? The both of you would be scared. I would be triple times scared and try my best to get away from it. If it blocked us then mother protection mode is going to take place. I know one of us was going down and I’m sure it will be real hard for it to take me down. You all could go trick-or-treating with your children when you have them.” They both said only if there are no clowns.

And life goes on. Have a safe and candy-full Halloween. 

I must say this birthday for my son Paul we decided that we are going to let him decide what he wants because last birthday I did my usual; the kind of cake the family likes (because Paul doesn’t eat a lot of cake), the restaurant we all like. Before we arrived at the restaurant Paul told us not to mention that it was his birthday. He did not want anyone coming to our table singing happy birthday, making him a spectacle.

Paul said that he was going to get the kind of cake he wanted because we know that he doesn’t like too much sweet.

Paul bought a small Junior’s Restaurant Cheese cake and it did not even say ‘Happy Birthday Paul’. I was flabbergasted and I said, “that little cake?”

“Yeah, I told Sarah to choose the cake she likes because you know she is the cake eater in the family,” he said.

I shook my head but said nothing and prepared the things he wanted to eat.

Breakfast; Sardines, cleaned and crushed up, diced, onions, sweet peppers, tomatoes, and lime juice with a little salt mixed in. Floats on the side.

Lunch; fried chicken and lentil peas with floats.

Dinner was left overs and shrimp egg rolls. Paul got most of the things he likes to eat and he enjoyed his day.

I know if I was left to do it the way I wanted, we would have been at a restaurant or I would have cooked a different meal, but it was his birthday and I know I had to step back.

I need to join an honest to goodness sou sou or as a friend of mine calls it, “A partner." Many other countries have another name for it. The banks charge you for not spending and they charge you for spending. You cannot beat the dollar devils.

Since Paul and Sarah were little I talked to them about life and I sugar coated it in the beginning. Paul at 7 years stopped me in my tracks when he said, “I know that already, but not how you are saying it.” He told me what he knew and I stopped sugar coating. My children know how I feel about life do’s and don’ts. They know that I don’t want to see their body naked out there for the whole wide world to see. Many people love to film their intimate moments and to me that moment is sacred. I mean sacred because it is the deepest way to complete unity. Remembering that intimate moments is good for the soul. It strengthens a relationship.  

There is a video of a Trinbago police woman having a time of her life. Her face is as clear as daylight on the video and all you seeing is the man’s body part. Please note women, in most cases when someone ask you to film your sexual moment, they want to share it with their friends… the world. If you are doing a movie… blue movie, then that is a different story. Every time you see a video of a sexual moment (not a blue movie) it is always to shame the woman. I feel if you don’t want to be broadcast over the internet… the world, stop making your significant other video tape you.

The brunt of it is, Jealousy!

I do not understand how a parent can dislike their child. This child came from you and is a part of you. The people who do that don’t like themselves.

You wanted this, but you got that. Your child got this without a hassle. You get angry with your flesh and blood for achieving what you wanted yourself so you make them pay.

The most difficult thing to do is to let go of a parent. They can be very hurtful to you, but you stick around, treating them kindly, hoping that their attitude would change. My father used to say, “Not everyone in this life is going to like you and you will not like everyone.” For your peace of mind, if you have the means to move on… Do it!

SEX! Life has changes so drastically that parents and caregivers need to speak to their children, at a tender age about it.

Paul was 7 years when he asked about it. We had to stop running around the sex talk and be honest because he was hearing it in school. When Sarah was 6 years, she asked me about it. I believe from the age of six children should start being educated about sex. Trinidad and Tobago is talking about teaching sex education in schools. I feel that there should not be a long drawn out debate about yes or no. Start it ASAP … TODAY! My reason for saying this is because most children at that tender age already heard about it and it is sad to say but some of them have been touched by it.

Don’t forget to drink 8 to 10 cups of water today! One cup of coffee or tea and a glass of juice can be included in the cups. Your water should be 8 cups. Your liquid intake will be about 10 cups for the day and that is good for your system.

On a very personal note from me and my family, why Hillary Clinton gets our vote.

Paul will be 26 years on October 29 and Sarah is 19 and for the good health they are experiencing Hillary Clinton paid a big part. We were recipients of the Children’s Health Insurance Program known as CHIP. It is a program for low-income children that provides federal funding to states. When Hillary Clinton was first Lady she was the main person responsible for creating that program. The WIC--- WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN, Food and Nutrition Service was also included in this.  

Under CHIP I received free pre-natal care right up to delivery and after I had my baby. My babies got free health care up until age 16 and a little there after. I did not pay a dime in doctor bills. It was totally FREE HEALTH CARE! They got all their inoculation. Paul even had surgery for a hernia and it was free. Thanks to Hillary Clinton.

Now all the people who are saying the negative things about her … her email etc. Which human is perfect? Which one of us doesn’t have a skeleton or some kind of shady shit in the shadow of our lives? I say VOTE for Hillary she is the lesser of the two evils.

A woman was shot in the Bronx by the police and she died. She was suffering with mental illness. Now I really don’t believe that the medication that most people take for that illness works that great … lots of side effects.

I say legalize marijuana. In my 56 years on this earth I know for a fact that smoking weed calms the spirit. As a child I saw some guys just acting happy … in real good spirits, and then I hear people say he smoked tampi… weed.

I don’t smoke or take it in any form but I never heard that anyone who did had a bad reaction from it. I remember a bad flu hit Trinidad many years ago and most people made tea with the leaves and it got rid of the flu.

I am so glad that these women came forward and others are going to come forward. There are too many incidents of men violating women and they get away with it. I know when you get violated you feel embarrassed, as though you did something for the person to violate you. You don’t say anything as the incidents weighs heavy on your mind. When a man violates a woman, he doesn’t like his mother … He does not like females. He has no respect… His ego, the devil is in charge.

Buy a steamer. This is the kind of steamer that I used and it is the best one I ever had.

Nobody talks about it. Nobody wants to talk about it, but I am going to talk about it. New York HAS BED BUGS! Having bed bugs doesn’t mean that you have a nasty house because bed bugs don’t give a damn whether or not your house is clean or dirty. Those little vampires just want to suck your blood. I never saw a bed bug in my life until I saw it in my home here in NY. I went crazy. One of my dearest friends, Joanne told me to buy a steamer and steam the beds, pillows. Washed and tumbled dry on hot all the sheets etc., and I did. Since I saw those blood suckers, I steam every other week and I do not have any bed bugs. I STEAM MY BEDS EVERY OTHER WEEK!

I love Saturdays. I always feel great to wake up and face the day. I laugh a lot, get into great conversations, do most of everything that I want to do for the following week… Cleaning and getting food stuff ready. One thing that I hardly do on a Saturday is cook, but when I do, it doesn’t matter to my family if they are hungry or not, from the moment I finished cooking, they get a plate and the eating starts. On Sunday morning for breakfast, they eat food, lunch time they eat food and dinner time they eat food.

We are not hearing a lot about it on the news but clowns are still popping up in neighborhoods, scaring people, especially children. I hate clowns and if I see one, in my space, it going to be that demon ass and mine!

My father used to call anybody who did something for him, ‘A Good Samaritan’ whether he had to pay them or not. I used to think that he was making a ‘wise crack’ about the person, but he was just blessing that person because they were a blessing to him.

A Good Samaritan is a blessed person. They give freely and it comes back to them tenfold.

Is it me or are any of you thinking the same thing? I find Kim Kardashian looks embarrassed. She looks as though she was not only robbed. She was also violated. As Trinbagonians does say, “Dem robbers touch she up.”

She put herself in that predicament. This is not a joke! She was texting and posting her jewelry to her friend over the internet.  As Trinbagonians does say, “She was showing off.”

People have to stop putting their life story on the internet. There is a video of a baby using the bathroom. The parents who posted it thought that it was funny but they really don’t know how that could traumatize this child later down in life. Many people can use this video to hurt this child. Even a pervert might use this video for his or her sickening moments. Stop posting private and important family situations.

I am tired of seeing women trashing and fighting other women for a man. From the moment the man I was dating had another woman, I walked away and that was the end of that. I never got caught up in fighting and cussing for a man. The reason I walked away is because I felt if you cared about me you would not have time for somebody else.

Unless your man is underdeveloped, backward, slow, stunted… just mentally handicap. Stop fighting and cursing the other woman acting as though she is taking advantage of him. All men with an outside woman spoke to that woman and agreed to have that relationship. She is not crazy so stop degrading yourself for a man who doesn’t respect you. Love yourself! Respect yourself!

Every time I see his facial expression he reminds me of a person with pent-up emotions.

Every time I hear him talking I am appalled by his vulgarity.

He laughed and mocked a reporter who had a stroke and he laughs and mocks Hillary’s moment when she stumbled as she was about to get into her car. Just as God is no respecter of persons so does sickness. One day my father said to me, “Everyone gets sick and there are lots of people with disabilities. It is not their fault. Do not laugh at anyone, it is hurtful. I was very young and I listened. I do not laugh at people. Today you feel strong and you are boisterous, but you never know what tomorrow will bring.
