My children did not eat school lunch, but they always had a negative view
of the lunch ladies. They said that the women look at you as though you are
begging for a meal. Every morning my daughter used to take bacon for her
friends. One morning she took three pieces and the lunch lady in an aggressive
tone said, “You are only supposed to take 2 pieces.” The Lunch Lady took back
the third piece. My daughter said she and her friends started to laugh. I did
not think it was funny because they prefer to throw away the food than to give
it to the children.
