I talked about this on a friends FB page the other day, but I want to share again in the defense of days old homemade bread. Today someone told me that they like freshly baked homemade bread, but they throw away what remains after two days. I told them that I don’t throw it away. I put the tawa –platten or a frying pan on a low fire. Put thin slices of homemade bread on the tawa or in the frying pan and leave it to toast. I turn the slices over every ten minutes until it is toasted to a golden brown.
When I was in Trinbago. I would eat it with Fernleaf butter, now I put grated extra sharp cheddar cheese on it… Yummy!
