Mary G. Ross was the first Native American woman engineer.
She made major contributions to the aerospace
industry. She was born on August 9th 1908. She was the great granddaughter
of Chief John
Ross of the Cherokee Nation. Mary G. Ross worked on many aerospace projects at Lockheed
Corporation. She died on April 29, 2008. Today she would have been 110 years
old.
