When you think you are holding a secret, 99% of the time the person that the secret is about already knows the secret. The person is not saying anything to you, but they might just be saying to themselves let the fool continue thinking that they have a SECRET.

Trinidad and Tobago Bacchanal (Scandal)

“Trinbagonians, have you ever heard about a man called Gumbogeeza. (I am not sure that I spelt the name correctly). Anyway, he used to grease his body then break into people houses at night, put ever one in the house in a deep sleep, shave off the hair on the woman’s vagina, stick it over the man’s top lip making him a mustache?”

This picture reminds me of how one area of the neighborhood I grew up in —(Techier Village, Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago) used to look before the squatters came.

Happy Easter Tuesday to you and yours. Enjoy your day and be safe.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. Dalai Lama

Happy Easter Monday. Have a wonderful safe day.

Even my friend, who had my trust and partook of my bread, has raised his heel against me. Ps. 41:10.
God has spoken once; twice have I heard this that power belongeth unto God. Also unto thee, O LORD, belongeth mercy; for thou renderest to every man according to his work.  Ps. 62:11-12.

Are you not moved to tears and bitter compassion, when you behold the only Son of God seized by the most impious, dragged away, mocked, scourged, buffeted, spit upon, crowned with thorns, hung upon the infamous cross between two thieves, finally in such a horrible and execrable manner suffering death, for your salvation and that of the world?—Pierre Abèlard (1079-1142)

Happy Holy Thursday to you and yours. Enjoy your day and be safe.

“Whether one is rich or poor, educated or illiterate, religious or non-believing, man or woman, black, white, or brown, we are all the same. Physically, emotionally, and mentally, we are all equal. We all share basic needs for food, shelter, safety, and love. We all aspire to happiness and we all shun suffering. Each of us has hopes, worries, fears, and dreams. Each of us wants the best for our family and loved ones. We all experience pain when we suffer loss and joy when we achieve what we seek. On this fundamental level, religion, ethnicity, culture, and language make no difference.” — Dalai Lama XIV, Toward a True Kinship of Faiths: How the World’s Religions Can Come Together

Happy Holy Wednesday to you and yours. Thank God for mercy.

Recognize your happiness.

You had a conversation with someone or you read something and after the moment you laughed, or smiled, or you feel fulfilled, or at peace then that is happiness

A Happy Holy Tuesday to you and yours.

Your happiness is on you, around you… in your presence. Pause for a moment sit quietly and think. Just look around you. At all the things you see… look at what you are wearing. You bought all of it or some of it was given to you. Your reason for buying and keeping it was because of the joy it brought to your heart. You still own it so you still like or love it… Joy is happiness and happiness is on you and around you so pay attention to yourself and what is around you. Live your life and enjoy it too.

“I believe compassion to be one of the few things we can practice that will bring immediate and long-term happiness to our lives. I’m not talking about the short-term gratification of pleasures like sex, drugs or gambling (though I’m not knocking them), but something that will bring true and lasting happiness. The kind that sticks.”  Dalai Lama XIV

Happy Holy Monday, to you and yours. Thank you God for making me see another day. Amen and Amen to that.

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”  Dalai Lama XIV, The Art of Happiness

Let me tell you my sugar story.

I remember in 1999 while I was conversing with my favorite sister, she asked me how much sugar I use per day. I told her that I make a lot of juice and a 5lb bag of granulated used to last me a week. She told me that I am using too much sugar. Sugar is not good for you it makes your body acid and when your body is acid you suffer from all kinds of ailments. Cut down on sugar. It took me a while but I started to cut down. I stopped drinking juice but I used to make my coffee with condensed milk and evaporated milk. For a very long time I kept drinking my coffee sweet. My right knee started to act up. It used to buckle and then I would hit the floor. My sister told me to cut out sugar. Stop using condensed milk. In 2012 I finally stopped drinking and eating sugary items, but I was eating bread and there was added sugar in it. I started reading labels to make sure no sugar was in the product. My knee stopped hurting and today it is still doing better. I don’t use sugar.

Sugar taste real good, but do you know that it makes you urinate a lot. Sometimes you urinate and then minutes later you want to pee again. When you take in sugar at nights it will cause you to have a sleepless night. All night you would be getting up to pee. Cut down on sugar. You would feel a lot better.

“A Little Bit Of Kindness”

Stop for a moment, and hold on to the people you love and the people who love you.
Stop for a moment, and make someone happy.
It only takes a moment.A little bit of kindness. Goes a long way…

Our souls may lose their peace and even disturb other people's, if we are always criticizing trivial actions - which often are not real defects at all, but we construe them wrongly through our ignorance of their motives.Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582)
While you are proclaiming peace with your lips, be careful to have it even more fully in your heart. ― Saint Francis of Assisi (1182-1226)
What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.Saint Augustine (354-430)

Happy Thursday to you and yours. I hope you are having a wonderful safe day.

Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.Saint Augustine (354-430)

TIME waits on no man. TIME affect everything because everything needs TIME.

God created nature and his biggest creation that nature lives off of is time. Time differentiates what the atmosphere would be like.
Why does man believe that he owns time? He created daylight saving time disrupting human’s equilibrium making us out of balance... Not in harmony with life. You feel physically and mentally off balance.
There are more road accidents, sleep problems, an increase in strokes, heart attacks etc.
For life to be as it should be without disruption of our body, mind, heart and soul; man needed to work with time and around time.

A wonderful safe day to you and yours.

Happy Tuesday. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Enjoy and be safe.

Give us this day our daily bread.
There are more than 150 different kinds of bread in the world. I can’t eat any kind of bread that has wheat, gluten and dairy products. The only bread I eat, is cassava bread. Although I don’t eat some kinds of bread, I believe that it is a blessed food and it should not be ruined. The sacredness of bread to me, is due to the fact that it is the one food that is eaten ever minute of the day, somewhere in the world. I remember when we left a piece of bread on our plate, my mother or father would tell us to wet it with clean water, before we threw it out. I never knew the reason why, but I still do that.
I don’t know why people squeeze or touch up bread… that pisses me off. A woman was feeling up and squeezing the bread in the grocery. Well all Trinbagonians know that we doh (don’t) play with food and when we see someone doing it, we does hit the roof. A Trinbagonian was near to the bread squeezer and she asked her why she was doing that? The woman said she wanted to see if it was fresh. Well the Trinbagonian asked her in an angry tone if she can’t read.
“Yes I can,” the woman said.
“The expiration date is on the package so read the f…ing thing and stop squeezing the bread!” Trinbagonian said.
And that was the end of that…

The old Trinbago folks used to say, ‘Empty vessels make the most noise’ and that is a fact.

Praises and thanks go out to all teachers, educators, tutors, instructor, coach, trainer, lecturer, professor, and governess. When you have a student, an apprentice or a learner in your care and he or she is unruly, be gentle with them. In most cases they might be hungry. Pause a moment then when you get their attention say; ‘What did you have for breakfast?’

The dollar devils are making big money on drugs.

They don’t want to legalize marijuana, but 129 people (It could be more people, but that is my opinion.) die daily mostly from prescription pain pills and heroin. Every 25 minutes in America a baby is born dependent on opiates —(opium containing drugs —morphine or heroin). ABC 20 20. Imagine they are teaching 11 and 12 year old children how to administer the drug that brings someone back from a heroin overdose.

IT’S A BRAND NEW DAY! It is Saturday, the day before the clock springs forward one hour. Enjoy the day and be safe.

Please be on your Ps and Qs we have a predator and he is slashing people. He did it in Manhattan, Queens now he is in Brooklyn. It is a scary situation.

Enjoy your day and be safe.

Thursday, March 10, 2016

There are lots of children walking to and from school in my neighborhood and these crazy people are slashing anybody. This morning I was hearing helicopters and endless police cars speeding. I said LORD something bad happen. I hope nobody died. Nobody died but a woman was slashed on her face, about three blocks away from my home.
Last night two people were stabbed in Prospect Park… The perpetrator was arrested for the stabbing. The person who did the slashing this morning is still at large. I hope they find him soon.
Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset. Saint Francis de Sale (1567-1622)

A peaceful day to you and yours. Enjoy it and be safe.

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him. Buddha

I am catholic and one thing I can say about my faith and going to church is, from the moment you walk into a catholic church or a shrine, there is a peaceful, serene, calm aura. Any denomination is welcome at any time and no one ask you whether or not you belong or are a member.
You can sit in a Catholic church and talk to God the way you usually do. You will experience a peaceful moment you won’t ever forget…

“A Happy Wednesday to you and yours.”

If you want to know family secrets talk to the old people in the family. Eighty years and up folks are like little children. They speak the truth.
Have a nice day and be safe.

Happy Tuesday to you and yours.

I don’t know your story, you don’t know my story, but I know my story and I thank God for it. I got up this morning; I walked, I talked, I laughed, I even sang a song. I don’t have an award winning voice, but I am sure God liked it because I remembered every single word in it.
Have a wonderful day and be safe.

On a personal note. I don’t like sleeping in the day and I don’t, but God have a way of putting us in our place.

Everyday I wake up around 4 in the morning and I would go to bed around 10 at nights. I did not realize that I was only getting 5 to six hours sleep at nights and I am up for 18hrs. Some days I feel a bit tired, but I ignore it. All day on Saturday I was feeling tired but I spent the day doing this-and-that then I went to bed around 9pm. Sarah wanted me to watch something with her and I started, but I kept drifting off to sleep. After the show she went to shower and I got up to go to the bathroom. I was feeling sleepy so I stood by the bureau —(dresser) for a moment to get my footing that moment lasted too long. I fell asleep. The next thing I knew I was crying out as I tried to get my balance, but I fell down. Harold was asleep and he immediately got off the bed, Paul ran into the bedroom, Sarah was shouting out, “Dad, what is going on. Where is mom?.” I was sitting on floor laughing because I caused it all to happen. I thank God I did not hurt myself. Family meeting took place and I have been given strict orders… Siesta! No is a word I am not going to say.

For the past two days I dropped everything and I hit the bed. I am living life and enjoying it too. If you can take time off for yourself, do it and take an afternoon rest.

One of my favorite days of the week … Saturday… Have a nice day and be safe.

Don’t be self-absorbed … Be romantic… over-extend yourself a little for the one who loves you.
If your wife or partner ask you to buy them; a fruit…a mango, an apple, an orange etc, don’t buy one buy two or more.
If you are asked to buy a loaf of bread, buy two.
If you are asked to buy a rose, buy a bunch of roses.
If you are asked to... you will know when to put romance into it.

Don’t be meager be romantic, it is the simplest thing to do.

Something to think about.

One of my sisters-in-law said, “If Donald Trump wins the presidency immigrants ass go be grass and Trump go be the lawn mower oui…"

Take that in yuh pipe and smoke it.

Happy Friday. Enjoy your weekend and be safe. I always have to go back to Sarah’s words, “I really don’t understand old people. You know you are on your way out, Oh gosh, why won’t you be nicer?”

“What goes into the mouth does not defile a man, but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a man. Do you not realize that whatever enters the mouth passes into the belly and is cast out into the drain? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and it is they that defile a man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulterous, immorality, theft, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things that defile a man.” Matt.15:11, 17-19

Salvation! Deliverance! Rescue! Recovery! Escape!

Matt. 14:31 ‘And Jesus said, O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?”
Anytime a positive thought comes to you, do it. Do not think about anything else… Stay focus on doing it. Other thoughts will distract you and doubt will step in. Doubt is a killer! It kills salvation!
Enjoy your day and be safe.

“Kindness is a gift that is within your soul. You either have it or you don’t. You cannot pretend to be kind.”

When you pretend to be kind, it will last for a moment. After the person you were kind too leaves your presence, you will start to complain about what you did for them. You are blocking your blessings. All I have to say is, ‘That is life. God has his people and the devil has his’.

I love this.

You cannot live a brave life without disappointing some people, but those people who get disappointed, it’s really okay. Because the people who really care for you, the people, who are rooting for your rise, will not be disappointed. The only people who are disappointed have their own agenda, and their agenda is not aligned with your agenda. Living Brave: Oprah Winfrey.

Have a nice day and be safe.
