“The Trill Of Cheating”

Regardless of the end result, the yearning in your heart to be with the man/woman, makes you take the chance, although your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/ might finds out.
The promises you make to him/her~ We will keep this between us~ No one will ever find out… hmm. You actually believe that the entrenched secret, will remain a secret BUT Tom, Dick, Harry, Joan, Janet, Linda etc, already knows. If you or your significant other doesn’t tell your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband, one or two out of that bunch will talk.
If you wind up together. There will be no trust. The trill of cheating is SEX…

“Life Is So Good”
And so eventful. My daughter and I was standing talking to an official this morning. A young lady walked into the room and suddenly I heard a fart as this young lady made her last step. I kept a straight face… Swiftly the official started to explain to her where her group was. After she got her information she left and the official and I finished talking. My daughter and I left and while we walked down the corridor I said, “I have something to tell you.”
She said, “What?”
People were walking near to us and I said, “When we get outside.”
“Okay,” She said.
“When we got outside I said, “Did you hear?...”
And before I could finish she said, “A fart?”
A hysterical moment took place between us. Life is so good…

“The Typewriter”
To me, it is one of the greatest inventions in the world.

Russia’s latest weapon against electronic snooping? The humble typewriter . The Irish Times- Europe

“A Walk Down Memory Lane”
The computer came in. I had to get with the times so I threw out my typewriter… I wished I didn’t.
When I was learning to type, my teacher told me that I needed to practice without looking at the keys and use my both hands. It was hard in the beginning, to look at the textbook and type without looking at the keys. The first letters that I had to type were ASDF ;LKJ…. I followed the instructions in the textbook. I had to type first with the left fingers so I typed – Pinky – A. Ring finger – S. Middle finger – D. Index finger – F. Right fingers. Pinky – ; Ring finger – L Middle finger – K. Index – J. After months of practice and learning the other keys, I was typing 45 – 50 words per minute. When I graduated from school, I had the typewriter’s keys down pact. I was typing 100 WPM, with no typos and I did not look at the keys. I came to America and I had to learn the computer keyboard. It took me two days to get it right. I taught my children from a very young age how to type now they have it down to no typos…
There is so much that you can do with a typewriter… Sometimes, I want to fill out a form and have to write in all the information… with a typewriter it could be typed and it would look professionally done… I like my computer, but I miss my typewriter…

“Stop And Frisk”
The first time this happened to my son he was 15yrs. To anyone out there he used to look like 12yrs. One morning while he was on his way to a 10:00AM college class at City Tech., two policemen stopped him, the moment he got off the train. He said they went through his pockets and his backpack. The questions started;
“It is 9:30AM! Why aren’t you in school?”
“I am going to school.”
“What school are you going too?”
“City Tech, 300 Jay Street.”
“How old are you?”
“15yrs.”
“You are 15!?”
“Yes.”
One of the officers found his college ID and the questions continued.
“Where did you get this ID?”
“From the college, when I registered.”
“We have to check this out.”
While all of this was happening my son said that he felt embarrassed because people were coming into the subway to wait on their trains. Also trains, kept stopping and off-loading people. Everyone was looking at him. Some of them looked with eyes that were saying another African American did something illegal.
After they thoroughly searched him and found no illegal items, on him, but being black, they let him go. He arrived to class 10:35AM that morning, now he had to go through the process of explaining why he was late for class…

“Real Nice”

On this hot sunny Sunday, the first day of, the third week of, the seventh month of, 2013. I put some seedless grapes, in the freezer for 25 minutes~ Oh what a nice chew~  Real nice…

“A Broken Record”

I probably sound like a broken record, but I have a son… (He is now 22 will be 23 in a couple of months) and it is scary to think about what each day will bring into his life… At a very young age, I told him, and it was sad to say, but it was the truth… You have strikes against you…
1. You are black.
2. You are male.
3. You don’t have an education.
You cannot change yourself, but you can make changes to your educational status. Go to school and get a good education.
When you go to the store, the workers in the store may shadow you. Ignore them, get what you want, pay for it, make sure you get a bag and a receipt!
If you are stopped by the police make sure they could see your hands!
Be aware of the neighborhood watch. He might be packing heat, and easily upset when he sees a black man.
Today I say to him and my daughter… When you at school, your professor/s and or classmate/s might be packing heat. Don’t antagonize. Be careful…
