It is not a good thing if you have been violated and you accept payment for the violation with stipulations that you cannot talk about what the person did to you. I believe if you are silent the money means more to, but you don’t realize that you are giving the perpetrator permission to do what he or she did to you, to others.  

Harvey Weinstein paid off some of his victims and they kept quiet so he kept doing the same horrible thing over and over to others.
