Happy 50^th Independence To All Trinidadians + Tobagonians

I was two when we got independence and I do have a bit of sweet memories of the day~ The parade of the defense forces during the day, was stirring~ The fireworks after twilight~ It was the first time I was hearing such a loud sound and I was scared until I saw the pretty~~~ colourful~~~ twinkling lights~ The love people had for each other~ So many changes, but I am holding on to the goodness of sweet Trinidad and Tobago~

“Twelve Packs Of Sugar”

My Daughter wants to drink a glass of orange soda for breakfast~ I told her I don’t think she should because that is a lot of sugar to start of the day with~

She said, “Oh yeah~ Somebody told me that a glass of soda has about 12 packs of sugar~ I want to know why people assume that I don’t want to eat 12 packs of sugar!?” and she started to laugh~ I don’t know if she was correct, but I chuckled and shook my head …

“Crix!”

Big surprise! This morning my husband went to a store and bought all the CRIX they had~ ten bags so I have crix for one week or more~ The owner told him that he wasn’t sure if they will ever get CRIX again because a company by the name of “Finest” bought Bermudez~ Is that true and if it is I hope that Finest don’t plan to kill CRIX~ I know CRIX since I born and that will be a big tragedy if they do…
